Third Great Awakening



The First Great Awakening came circa 1735-1743. It was the first event to draw all 13 colonies together into a common experience. Its deep spiritual message touched everyone from the wealthiest in America to slaves and laid the foundation for our ability to withstand the trials of our War for Independence.

The Second Great Awakening came circa 1800-1840. It began in the frontier of Kentucky and spread throughout the land in waves. Charles Finney would lead 500,000 to Christ. This Great Awakening laid the foundation for our ability to withstand the trials of our Civil War.

I believe we are on the cusp of a Third Great Awakening. If so, and if the the pattern holds (granted - a couple of big ifs) then, in the next 20-30 years we will have another huge trial to go through.

I have said for years that Trump is our King Josiah (see 2 Kings chapters 22 and 23). Trump is poised to continue the tremendous cleansing of the Deep State he started in his first 4 years.

Like Trump, King Josiah cleansed the Kingdom of Judah of the evil in his day in a way no one had seen in centuries. Josiah was the catalyst for a huge revival in Israel, unlike anything they had ever seen. They rediscovered the Torah that had been hidden in the Temple and celebrated the Passover for the first time since the days of the Judges (about 600 years).

Trump seems to be the one who will be the catalyst for us. I have a hard time imagining something as big as celebrating the Passover was for the Jews at that time, but it will be amazing. We will see a Golden Age like nothing we can ever imagine.

If, indeed, the Third Great Awakening happens, what are we getting prepared for?

I believe it's for the Tribulation just prior to the long awaited 2nd Coming of our Lord and Savior.

The Trials and God's Favor Before the First Thanksgiving

This life gives us many trials and sufferings. Through it all, we need to remain faithful to Him who is always faithful with us. He will see us through the good times and the bad times. This is what Ecclesiastes 3:1-4 says:  1 For everything there is a season, and a time for every matter under heaven: 2 a time to be born, and a time to die; a time to plant, and a time to pluck up what is planted; 3 a time to kill, and a time to heal; a time to break down, and a time to build up; 4 a time to weep, and a time to laugh; a time to mourn, and a time to dance; The first Thanksgiving came only after a series of trials and favors which would make any modern day Christian shudder – both from the enormity of God’s blessings and the suffering God allowed them to endure. God's Plan

What am I supposed to do with my life? What job should I be doing? Am I doing the right thing for my family, friends and me? These are all questions we have or have had throughout our lives. Sometimes we feel we have the answers, but most times those answers are elusive. We tend to try to do things first our way. Why not? We know ourselves better than anyone else does and we should be able to figure everything out. As most of us have found, that does not work so well over the long haul. As we become wiser, we look to others to give us hints or detailed advice. This can come from conversations with family, friends and associates or from lectures, books and videos. Some of that advice is excellent and some of it is terrible. The problem is, how do you know what is exactly right for you?
